Davis H. Smith is a member of the firm’s Tax and Business Organizations and Transactions practice groups. He frequently advises clients on tax and business strategies addressing the full life-cycle of a company, including formation, operation, growth and transition of ownership. Davis has represented businesses in a broad range of transactions, including choice of entity, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, divisive reorganizations, succession planning, and general tax planning. Davis is a frequent speaker and author on tax planning for businesses, including strategies for limited liability companies and subchapter S corporations.
